Internal Manufacturing Spotlight: The TSF12 Production Workflow

Optimizing Satie’s Internal Assembly Process

As part of our commitment to improving our internal production cycles, Satie is adding to its offering the TSF12 mounting pillar within our PROLIGHT assembly line. This update is purely an internal manufacturing evolution designed to enhance our own shop-floor throughput and ensure strict consistency during the build phase of our frame solutions.

The TSF12 maintains the exact same functional layout and profile as the previous MSF10 pillar. From an operational standpoint, this change allows Satie to replace manual assembly steps with automated precision, supporting our internal goals for faster production turnarounds.

CNC-Machined Workflow Improvements

The primary shift with the TSF12 is the method used to position spacers during Satie’s internal assembly phase. While our previous workflow required technicians to perform manual nut-placement, the TSF12 utilizes predrilled holes machined directly by Satie’s CNC equipment.

By integrating these fixed locations into our hardware during the manufacturing cycle, we achieve several internal advantages:

  • Internal Assembly Consistency: CNC-indexed positioning ensures that every pillar we build meets our exact internal specifications with no manual variance.
  • Production Speed: By eliminating manual adjustment steps for our team, we can complete the internal assembly of vertical pillars more rapidly.
  • Satie Production Scalability: This automated approach allows our manufacturing team to maintain a more efficient cadence when managing high-volume production runs.

Identical Functional Outcome

It is important to note that while our internal assembly method has evolved, the TSF12 maintains the same physical profile and mounting capabilities as the MSF10. This ensures that the final frame assembly remains fully compatible with all existing PROLIGHT configurations. The update is focused entirely on Satie’s internal production agility and maintaining a highly repeatable, precision-driven manufacturing process.

Summary of Internal Improvements

The transition to the TSF12 represents a strategic refinement of Satie’s internal operations. By leveraging CNC-machined positioning for our spacers, we are able to increase the speed and accuracy of our own production line while delivering a solution that adheres to our internal quality benchmarks.
